Thousands of bishops took part in the Second Vatican Council. One of the few bishops still alive reflects on its impact.

Vatican II was opened by Pope John XXIII in October 1962 and it was closed three years later by his successor, Pope Paul VI. The Council was something very new: it changed the liturgy and the Church’s relationship with other religions. (RSI/swissinfo.ch)
