(Bloomberg) -- Credit Suisse Group AG’s Chairman of the Americas, Robert Shafir, will leave the Swiss bank after almost nine years.

Shafir, who was based in New York, will depart at the end of June, a spokeswoman for the Zurich-based bank said, without elaborating on his departure. He was previously co-head of private banking and wealth management and stepped down from the bank’s executive board last year.

The departure was earlier reported by the Wall Street Journal.
