The repertoire comprises compositions of its band members. ... »
Oli Kuster Kombo: Flokati
Contemporary jazz. Bernese pianist Oli Kuster releases his 2nd album on Unit Records having the same personnel aboard as on the predecessor recording. The former keyboarder of the famous Züri West rock group again displays only originals on Flokati. In the sometimes extended heads you can easily make out a Geri Allen influence regarding colorations and grooves. These are the strong parts of the album whereas the solo sections partly lack the M-BASE punch. With Oli Kuster (piano); Jürg Bucher (clarinets); Lorenz Beyeler (bass); Dominic Egli (drums). ... »
