Women fought in a war in 1712. Today they keep fighting for equality

The traditional three-day celebration called “Meitli-Sonntag” takes place in January in Fahrwangen, a village in Canton Aargau. For three days women wearing costumes raid the town bars playing pranks on men. There is also a carnival parade to celebrate the strong women who fought in the second Villmergen war in 1712 and, of course, the strong ones of today. (Raffaella Rossello, swissinfo.ch)
