Young yodellers breathe new life into ancient Swiss tradition

Traditional Swiss folk music is experiencing a boom with nationwide courses in alphorn blowing, and a bachelors degree course in Lucerne in traditional instruments. Yodelling clubs in cities may be closing due to declining membership, but new women’s and children’s choirs are springing up all over the countryside. (swissinfo.ch, 2010)
