Recovering from teenage drug abuse
After years of drug abuse, 22-year-old Xavier T. from Strasbourg, France, was admitted to the therapy centre in the Swiss village of Salvan in canton Valais. This is where he won back his health and the will to give his life a new meaning.
The wardens at the two centres of Foyers Rives du Rhône in canton Valais help young people with addiction problems to regain their physical, mental and spiritual health. swissinfo.ch accompanied Xavier for a day in the centre of Salvan.
