Brigitte Studer aims for renaissance in political history.

Brigitte Studer is a History Professor at Bern University, and works in the fields of gender history, citizenship, the construction of collective identities, and social history. She is fascinated with political movements as agents of social change and wants to stimulate a renaissance in political history, but insists that politics must be seen in a social and cultural context.
