Press photo prize goes to swissinfo.ch exclusive

Henley's series focused to a large extent on the sidelines of the talks Mark Henley/Panos Pictures

Photographer Mark Henley has been named Swiss Press Photographer of the year for his pictures of the recent Iran nuclear talks in Geneva commissioned by swissinfo.ch.

Henley joined the media in Geneva on November 24 to follow the international talks that led to a deal on Iran stopping uranium enrichment.

His series has also been shortlisted in the current affairs section of the professional category at the upcoming World Photography Awards.  

Born in Oxford, Henley lives in Geneva. Another of his projects, Bank on us, on the banking crisis, won several prizes including the Swiss Press Photo photographer of the year award for 2012.

The photographer studied literature at York, before moving to Asia for ten years. He has photographed in over 50 countries over the past two decades, tracking issues around the world.
