BERLIN (Reuters) - German police said they had detained a 46-year-old Iraqi and a 29-year-old Nigerian on Thursday after receiving a tip that they could have been planning "a serious act of violence".
One man was detained in the Bavarian capital Munich and the other in nearby Fuerstenfeldbruck, police said in a statement, adding there had been no imminent threat to the public.
Police did not immediately find any suspicious items, but were pursuing their investigation, they added. They declined to give further details.
