ALMATY (Reuters) - Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev named Adilbek Zhaksybekov as his new chief of staff on Tuesday, replacing Nurlan Nigmatullin, Nazarbayev's office said on its Twitter feed.

Zhaksybekov, 61, has previously served as the mayor of the Kazakh capital, Astana. Nigmatullin, in turn, became a member of parliament on Tuesday, representing Nazarbayev's Nur Otan party.
