ANKARA (Reuters) - Turkey's position in the European Union will be stronger after Britain's exit from the bloc, Turkey's EU Minister, Omer Celik, said on Thursday.
Celik made the comment at a news conference in Brussels to announce the "opening" of Chapter 33, which covers budget policy, in Turkey's European Union accession process.
Finance Minister Naci Agbal told the same news conference that he does not expect any difficulties with meeting the criteria in the chapter.
The news conference was broadcast live in Turkey.
