New tennis coach ready to serve Federer

Swiss world number two tennis player, Roger Federer, plans to hire a new coach, Australian Darren Cahill.

The two men have met in Dubai to get to know each other and work out ways of working together, Federer's agent, Tony Godsick, told journalists.

Federer split with his former coach, Tony Roche, in May 2007, and has not had a permanent long-term trainer since then.

In 2008 he lost his top world ranking to Spaniard Rafael Nadal.

Cahill, who was one of the trainers of the Australian Davis Cup team, has just ended his contract with the Australian tennis federation. Lleyton Hewitt and Andre Agassi are among his previous clients who were also once ranked number one.
