J.S. Bach, E. Ysaÿe: complete works for violin solo and works by B. Bartok, E. Bloch, P. Camps, F. Kreisler and S. Prokofiev including the first recording of the sonata no. 2 for violin solo by R.R. Bennett. Daniel Zisman was born in 1954 in Buenos Aires. From 1980 to 2003 he was leader of the Berne Symphony Orchestra. In recent years Daniel Zisman has devoted himself to the research ot the aesthetics and the history of Tango and the Third Stream repertoire.

Mendelssohn: The Complete String Symphonies. Festival Strings Lucerne. Achim Fiedler.
Founded in 1956 by Wolfgang Schneiderhan and Rudolf Baumgartner, the Lucerne Festival Strings are today one of the Swiss orchestras with the most tours to their name. Their repertoire ranges from works for string ensemble to extended chamber orchestra, from the baroque to the contemporary.

Minimal Flute. Works by Steve Reich, Philip Glass & Terry Riley. Hans Balmer, flute.
Minimal music for solo flute. Bernese classical flutist Hans Balmer explores the sound cosms by three godfathers of minimal music. By using the multi-track recording procedure he multiplies himself into a flute orchestra which brings this music's often africanisms to full bloom as on Vermont Counterpoint. Riley's In C eventually even consists of 36 layered tracks.

Swiss Violin Concertos
These three concertos for violin and orchestra reflect the manifold influences from neighbouring countries as well as various forms of synthesis between Germanic severity and Latin clarity. Swiss violinist Sibylle Tschopp, along with the Stadtorchester Winterthur under the direction of Nicholas Carthy, performs the works of Paul Juon, Willy Burkhard and Raffaele d'Alessandro.

Ernst Haefliger was born in Davos in eastern Switzerland in 1919. After receiving a schoolteacher's diploma he started his musical studies - singing and violin - at the Zurich Conservatory.
