Switzerland’s tennis ace Roger Federer has announced he is working on a trial basis with coach Paul Annacone from the United States.

Annacone, who is currently the head coach of men’s tennis for Britain’s Lawn Tennis Association, has previously worked with Pete Sampras and Tim Henman.

“I’ve been looking to add someone to my team, and I’ve decided to spend some days with Paul Annacone,” the Swiss tennis player wrote on his website.

In the past two months Federer has slipped to third in the ATP rankings, the first time since November 2003 he’s not been in the top two.

Federer is at present preparing for the US Open which opens in Flushing Meadows on August 30 and runs till September 12.
