The International Ski Federation FIS said Zoricic died at 12.35pm Swiss time as a result of "severe neurotrauma".
The 29-year-old crashed directly into safety nets lining the side of the course after going wide over the final jump.
"The organising committee, FIS and Swiss Ski express their deepest condolences to the family and friends of Nick Zoricic and the Canadian Ski Team," a FIS statement said.
Television pictures showed Zoricic tumbling through the nets as his skis and poles were thrown clear.
He was treated on the course before being airlifted to hospital.
Organisers abandoned Saturday's and Sunday's World Cup events.
Skicross is where four skiers race together on a course of bumps and turns.
