Christmas at the Castle – Cribs from Austria and South Tyrol
Castle of Gruyères, till January 8, 2012
Alpine nativity scenes from the famous Salzkammergut, Styria and Tyrol with more than fifty groups and hundreds of figures are on show during Christmas, some exhibited for the very first time. Various wood carvings, big and small from the LEPI workshop are complimented with cribs by Uta Schwab from Thurgau, one of which is the Loahmmandl-Krippe, or crib of small clay men which is integrated into a box.
