Living life to the full on the Kenyan coast
Leaving Switzerland at the age of 19 wasn’t a difficult decision for Daniela. She now calls Lamu and Malindi on the Kenya’s coastline home and her four adopted children her family unit.

Elephants may have brought her to Africa but it is her four adopted children – ranging from three to 18 years of age – that have made her put her roots down there.
Daniela has created a company that make bags from recycled fishing boat sails and provides valuable employment to the local fishing community.
