The telecommunications company, diAx, has made a SFr1 million donation to children's homes in Switzerland. The money will go to eight homes throughout the country.

Last year, diAx pledged to donate SFr10 per new customer registered in November and December to charity. The company says over SFr1 million was raised by the campaign.

"It shows that we want to take our social obligations seriously," said James Flynn, head of operations at diAx.

The sum has been donated to the homes for projects ranging from refurbishment to organising holiday camps for the children.
