Disetronic boosts sales

Sales are rising at Disetronic Keystone Archive

The medical technology group, Disetronic, beat analysts' expectations on Thursday by increasing sales more than 23 per cent to SFr86.1 million ($50.2 million) in its fiscal first quarter.

The Burgdorf-based company said it felt confident that it would achieve sales growth of between 20 and 25 per cent for the year as a whole with a slightly higher rise in net earnings. It gave no profit figures for the first quarter.

It said second half sales should speed up and even accelerate depending on foreign exchange rates.

Disetronic, whose products include insulin pumps and injection and packaging systems, had a net profit of SFr45.8 million last year on sales of SFr302.7 million.
