After surprise defeats on Sunday, the three top favourite ice hockey teams fought back with a vengeance in the fourth round of the ice hockey league play-offs.

Davos, who were 2-1 down, defeated Bern 4-5 and levelled their quarterfinal series in Tuesday’s match.

Lugano, league runners-up for the past two seasons, romped to an 8-1 win in Zug to take a 3-1 overall lead in the best of seven series.

Defending champion Zurich Lions had to work a lot harder against Ambri, scoring a goal in overtime to see a 2-1 victory, which gives them an overall lead of 3-1.

Kloten defeated Fribourg 2-3 in overtime, which takes them to an overall lead of 3-1.

Kloten, Zurich Lions and Lugano are all now just one victory away from booking places in the semi-finals.
