FC Zurich crash out of Uefa Cup

Swiss football champions FC Zurich have held the German side Hamburg SV to goalless 0-0 draw in the latest round of the Uefa Cup competition.

However the Swiss team lost 3-1 on aggregate and failed to qualify for the last 16 on Thursday.

Observers say Hamburg had slightly better opportunities to score in the first half and its solid defence blocked most attacks by Zurich.

A week ago the German side won the first match in Zurich 3-1.
