Fritz Brun: Symphonies nos. 5 & 10
Late Romantic. A native from Lucerne, conductor and composer Fritz Brun belonged to the era of his alter ego Furtwängler. This "Swiss Sibelius" cultivated througout his 10 symphonies something very original, knotty and authentically Swiss. His 5th and 10th symphony are recorded here with the Moscow Symphony Orchestra under Swiss born autodidact Adriano. This release is part of a series which will present all of Brun's symphonies.
