Army cleans up in the Alpstein

On 40 days a year, tanks and mine throwers fire live ammunition in parts of the Alpstein massif. They leave behind several thousand tonnes of spent ammunition. The laborious task of cleaning up this mountainous terrain can only be done using helicopters. That's brought criticism from the Alpine protection organisation, Mountain Wilderness.
