Handball: Winterthur expand squad

One of Switzerland's top handball teams, Yellow Winterthur, has moved to strengthen its squad in preparation for this year's reduction in the number of clubs playing in the top division.

The side from eastern Switzerland have signed the Belarussian international, Aliasksej Usik, from the Polish club, Biala Podlaska. The 22-year-old left-hander was the third highest scorer in the Polish league last season, scoring 134 goals.

Winterthur’s new Norwegian trainer, Eskil-Berg Andreassen, has also completed the signings of goalkeeper, Jürg Langhard from local rivals, Pfadi Winterthur, and Matthias Lendi from TV Uster.
