Hingis defeats Schett in Qatar semi-finals

On Saturday, Switzerland's Martina Hingis breezed through her game against Austria's Barbara Schett at the Doha WTA tournament in Qatar. She won in straight sets, 6-1,6-2.

Hingis is through to the finals on Sunday, where she will meet France’s Sandrine Testud. The French player defeated her Czech opponent, Adriana Gersi, in two sets, 6-1,6-1, in the semi-finals.

Switzerland’s world number one continues her winning streak, after easily defeating the South African Joannette Kruger on Friday. She needed only 51 minutes to win 6-4,6-2.

Hingis has not lost in 13 matches against Testud.
