Australian pop diva Kylie Minogue wowed Swiss fans as part of her Aphrodite – Les Folies tour in Zurich on Wednesday evening.

Eighteen dancers as well as a group of acrobats accompanied the diminutive singer for the Las Vegas cabaret-style show at the Hallenstadion.

Some 8,200 fans enjoyed the spectacle. It began with the 42-year-old Minogue making her stage entrance in a golden shell, a nod to Italian artist Botticelli’s depiction of the goddess of love in the Birth of Venus.

The concert featured 200 costumes plus 30 fountains spraying 4,000 litres of water into the air.

The show, which has been a year in the making, cost about SFr20 million ($21 million)  to produce.
