Lugano have defeated Ambri-Piotta 3-0 in front of a record 7000 home crowd. They now lead the championship with 53 points, two points ahead of the Zurich Lions, and with a game in hand.

In Sunday's other games, Rapperswil beat Chur 2-1. Fribourg-Gottéron defeated Bern 6-4, while the Langnau Tigers lost 2-3 against the Kloten Flyers.

Both Lugano and Zurich Lions have qualified for this season' s play-offs. At the other end of the table, Chur and La Chaux-de-Fonds are firmly anchored in the play-out zone.
