Leuthard discusses trade at Berlin fair

Economics Minister Doris Leuthard is visiting the German capital, Berlin, for International Green Week, an international food and agriculture exhibition.

The event – the largest of its kind in Europe – allows consumers to get a glimpse of the upcoming products and trends, producers to test-market ideas, and provides a forum for governments to discuss agriculture policies.

Leuthard will hold bilateral talks with her European counterparts on trade liberalisation with the European Union, origin labelling, as well as the World Trade Organization’s Doha round of negotiations, according to a statement by the economics ministry.

This is the tenth year Switzerland has participated in the Berlin exhibition. This year it is displaying approximately 100 different goods at its booth under the label “Switzerland, Naturally”.

Switzerland is a partner country in International Green Week.
