Lucerne sign Grasshoppers’ N’Kufo

Blaise N'Kufo in action for Grasshoppers against Berne side BSC Young Boys Keystone

FC Lucerne have signed the 25 year-old Grasshoppers' striker, Blaise N'Kufo, for an undisclosed sum. The player has a two-year contract, with the option to renew for a further season.

N’Kufo was bought in 1998 by the Zurich side for SFr3 million from Lausanne-Sports, where he had been the highest scorer in Switzerland’s top league.

Originally from the Democratic Republic of Congo, N’Kufo became a Swiss citizen two years ago, and is now eligible to play for the country’s national side.
