Lugano hammered in Euroleague basketball
The Lugano Snakes have been roundly defeated by Bologna in the third round of the Euroleague basketball championship. Before a 3,500-strong crowd in Ticino's cantonal capital, Bellinzona, Lugano were beaten 72-100.

Lugano's track record in the Euroleague has been mixed so far. They lost against Peristeri of Greece 85-68, last week. But, the Ticino squad won against Zadar of Croatia in mid-October.
Bologna have won all of its matches to date, and are the group favourite.
