Lugano hold on to top spot
Lugano have strengthened their position at the top of Switzerland's first football division league table ahead of Lausanne and Zurich Grasshoppers after the weekend's matches.
On Sunday, FC Zurich had their first win of the season with a resounding 4-2 home victory against Lucerne.
Two goals in the last five minutes by Bartlett and Chassot, both breakaways and somewhat against the run of play, gave Zurich a 4-1 lead before Lucerne got a soft consolation goal from a free-kick in the final minute.
The victory lifted Zurich above Yverdon at the bottom of the league table.
In Saturday's matches, Lugano beat Neuchatel Xamax 3-0. It was Xamax's fourth goalless home game.
Lausanne moved up to second place by winning against Aarau 2-1. Zurich Grasshoppers, meanwhile, advanced to third place after a nail-biting finish at Yverdon.
Yverdon were 2-1 up until the 87th minute when Petric equalised. A minute later, Smiljanicby scored the winner for Grasshoppers.
Despite St Gallen's 3-1 win against Sion on Friday, the Swiss champions remain fourth in the league table.
Basel were only able to come away with a 1-1 draw against Servette Geneva. Basel's top scorer, Tchouga, was on target for his team, while Geneva's Lonfat scored the equaliser.
