Mixed fortunes for Swiss at Florida tennis tournament

A disappointed Rosset after losing a point Keystone

The Swiss tennis player, George Bastl, has made it through to the second round of the Masters Series tennis tournament in Key Biscayne. Fellow Swiss, Marc Rosset, didn't fare so well.

Bastl had his work cut out overcoming Richard Fromber. The Swiss took the match in two sets but only after the Australian had taken him to a tie-break in the first.

Bastl, the only Swiss to make it beyond the first round of the Masters Series, now faces Slovakia’s Dominik Hrbaty in the second.

Switzerland’s number two, Marc Rosset, didn’t fare so well. He was knocked out by Morocco’s Hicham Arazi 6-3, 7-6.

The Masters Series trophy is worth $6.12 million.
