100 ans de création musicale en Suisse romande - 100 years of musical evolution in French-speaking Switzerland.

MP3 file

This compilation introduces you to works from French-speaking Switzerland. It allows you insight into the much varied styles of composers from this cultural region, which particularly represent four different generations. There is for example Emile Robert Blanchet's romanticism to be discovered, as well as Henri Scolari's sound research. This disc is the fruit of collaboration between the library of the University of Lausanne and the Radio Suisse Romande sound archive department. It comprises works by composers such as Gustave Doret, Aloÿs Fornerod, Hans Haug and Jean Balissat a.o. You hear their music in interpretations by musicians from French-speaking Switzerland itself.
