Former Swiss CIEM Geneva winner Fabio di Càsola in a stunning performance on clarinet works by Weber. He proves with ease that one can't reduce Weber just on "Der Freischütz". These major clarinet works show, how important a role the imaginative and fantastic played for Weber. His romanticism throbbed with the heartbeat of Novalis' or Tieck's world. And the clarinet with its broad range of colours, from dark to bright, expresses the full panoply of romantic sentiment.
