Doppelbock feat Christine Lauterburg & Barbara Berger: Voodoo-Jodel
Imaginary Swiss folk music. All members of the quintet Doppelbock grew up in Swiss urban areas to the sound of Rock'n'Roll. But nonetheless they have each found their personal way to ancient Swiss music. The magic of natural yodel and the lyrics of old songs may have put a spell upon them. Voodoo-Jodel explores especially this side of Swiss folk music. You can hear traditional pieces in unfamiliar contexts. So the yodel classic Adelbodner meanders with ease on top of West African sounds.
