Late-Romantic. Young violin virtuoso Rachel Kolly d'Alba from Montreux is one of Switzerland's most promising up and coming talents. She graduated from the Lausanne Conservatory at age fifteen and subsequently completed her studies with Igor Ozim at the University for Music and Drama in Berne. Although this distinct character is at home with diverse classical genres, French Impressions, a selection of Romanesque violin highlights composed between 1880 and 1920, melds particularly well with Alba's luminous and fierce style. No wonder that this artist has already made quite a splash on numerous renowned stages abroad.

3rd movement. From Violin Concerto No. 3
