There has never been a greater double-bassist in classical music than Italian composer Giovanni Bottesini, 'the Paganini of the double bass'.
On this CD the Orchestra della Svizzera italiana from the Italian-speaking part of Switzerland presents his double-bass concerto no. 2 in B minor, the Grand Duo Concertante for violin and double bass and Passione Amorosa for violin and double bass.
