Ländlerorchester. The Ländler Orchestra.

Domenic Janett (*1949): Ländler Rhapsody
Dani Häusler (*1974): Waldstätter Fantasy
In the Ländlerorchester, two different musical worlds collide: that of the Ländler (a folk dance) which tends to be brief and pithy, and that of symphonic orchestral music. Composer and folk musician Domenic Janett wanted to unite numerous Swiss folk instruments in a large orchestra - string instruments, clarinets, brass, the alphorn, the schwyzerörgeli, the accordion and the dulcimer.
A kind of 'Alpine Symphony' in the manner of contemporary Swiss folk music.
