The two light-coloured dogs are Myla (16) and her son Oscar. When Silvia adopted Alina last year, the older dogs gave her a warm welcome. 2012

The dogs ensure that I get outside a lot, and it’s also important for me that they can enjoy nature as regularly as possible. 2012

Silvia Brugger has been been living in Alaska for 17 years. For nearly a decade she ran a hunting and fishing lodge north of Anchorage with her American ex-husband. Since their separation she’s been living and working in Anchorage itself – the biggest city in the USA’s most northern state. Still, she tries to get out into nature as often as possible.
