The marching season
Girls, twirls and glitzy costumes – it must be majorette time.
The Drum Majorettes Corps Wauwil was founded in 1978. It remains the only Majorettes Association in central Switzerland. Twice a year new costumes are fitted and distributed to all the age groups. This is the busiest time of the year before the highlight of their summer show called “viva l’estate” (“long live summer!”). (All images: Thomas Kern/swissinfo)
