Old birds make biogas
...and less chicken broth.
In Italy there’s a saying that old hens make the best broth. But in Switzerland hardly anybody buys them to make broth any more. Instead of ending up in a kitchen pot, the old birds are thrown into biogas collectors. (SF/swissinfo)
