One Swiss company makes it into global top 20
Nine Swiss companies feature among the world's 200 best small and medium-sized enterprises, according to the United States magazine "Forbes Global".
The private Bank Sarasin in Basel is included in the top 20, with its funds managed increasing by an average 25 per cent over the past three years and now totalling US$23 billion (nearly SFr41 billion).
“Forbes Global” picked the top 200 out of a total of 20,000 small and medium-sized companies worldwide, with the exception of the United States and Canada.
Criteria needed to qualify for an entry in the top 200 include minimum growth of 15 per cent in terms of sales and profit, and a profit growth forecast of 20 per cent for the following year.
The other Swiss companies featuring in the list are Kudelski, Mikron, Gretag Imaging, Phonak, Tecan, Fantastic, Highlight Comm and Swisslog Holding.
