Switzerland's Paolo Quirici will play the last two days of the Sfr4.5 million Volvo PGA Masters at Wentworth after shooting a level par 144 over 36 holes.

Quirici finished the second day 72nd out of a field of 156 to make the cut at the halfway stage.

The likes of Seve Ballesteros, Bernhard Langer, Eduardo Romero and the European number one, Lee Westwood, all failed to make the grade.

Scotland's Andrew Oldcorn remains at the head of the leader board having shot a second successive 66 to take a two-stroke lead.
