BUDAPEST (Reuters) - Hungarian police have detained two foreign women under European arrest warrants for terrorism-linked activity, police said in a statement posted on their official website on Friday.

They said the two women, an 18-year-old Belgian and a 19-year-old French citizen, were detained on Thursday at 0100 GMT as they were trying to cross into Serbia on a bus from Vienna to Sofia.

Police were not immediately available for further comment.
