The 27-year-old received SFr10,000 in prize money. The adjudicators, though, had difficulty in awarding second place and opted to put Yijoun Kim from Korea and Marek Fronc from Poland in joint third place.
The youngest competitor was Switzerland's Vincent Thévenaz who was eliminated in the semi-finals.
Some 19 organists from 10 different countries participated in the eight-day event.
