Swiss chef to prepare royal wedding banquet

Swiss chef Anton Mosimann has confirmed he will prepare the banquet for the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton on Friday evening.

Mosimann, who is a favourite chef of British heir to the throne Prince Charles, is known for his cooking style which he describes as “cuisine naturelle” and that avoids using ingredients such as butter and alcohol.

Mosimann had been rumoured for several weeks as having been chosen as the chef for the 300-person wedding dinner to be hosted by Prince Charles at Buckingham Palace.

Mosimann, who had refused to confirm or deny rumours, told Swiss tabloid newspaper Blick: “Like the guest list, the menu is strictly confidential but everything is prepared fresh and the products come from local organic farms.”
