Swiss post rated among the best in Europe
A study led by the International Post Corporation has ranked Swiss Post as one of Europe's best distributors of mail in the first half of the year.
The Unipost External Monitoring study (UNEX), released on Thursday, says that 95,7 per cent of letters sent from Switzerland to other European countries reach their destination within three days.
That is an improvement of 2.3 per cent over the last year.
The Post’s performance was even better in Switzerland, with over 97 per cent of letters arriving from abroad being delivered within the allotted time – an improvement of one per cent over last year.
Europe’s postal services sent over one million test letters in order to determine the average length of international letter transportation.
The study also examined what percentage of letters reached their destination within the three-day period. Some contained transmitters.
