The Italian-Swiss Radio Light Orchestra (LS 9/1977)

The Light Orchestra of German-Swiss Radio was founded in 1946 by the prominent conductor and composer Cedric Dumont.

The following year it made its recording debut. Since then it has won increasing recognition as one of the leading and most versatile radio light orchestras in Europe. Its repertoire ranges from modern dance music to operetta, from folk music to jazz. The Light Orchestra of the German-Swiss Radio is now under the direction of Hans Moeckel. Co-conductor is pianist-arranger Peter Jacques.
