Trump stood up for more than 70 millions of Americans against China, against Russia and against the corruption in Washington DC. America First was his better accomplishment. I will love to see all Swiss politicians saying the same: Switzerland First!
We loved trump. He was so funny and there were so many good memes. The best politician ever. So entertaining. What more do you want from someone in politics than a good laugh every day?
That is a lot better than these people who say words that mean nothing and yet they speak for hours.

When the electorate vote against rather than for (H Clinton)it reflects frustration with the powers that be and they do not learn or reform(Democrats Biden and Republicans Trump).
I will forever remember how he (almost inadvertently, just by being himself) exposed the American political establishment, specifically Democrats, for being the poisonous, vindictive psychopaths they are. Also how he revealed fissures in how a complicit and biased mainstream media and big tech conspired with Democrats to undermine and destabilise his presidency every step of the way in the most spectacular display of hypocritical vindictiveness I've ever seen from a political party, anywhere. And finally, how the American people voted for them anyway (allegedly, who knows the real truth).
Trump alerted me to how ridiculous 'democracy' is in the USA.
I found the way he acted absolutely atrocious BUT I realised that he is the example of so many politicians - in my opinion - that behave like him behind the scenes or in their own heads. All he did was show us the ugly side of politics whereas some shield themselves with a facade and 'we' buy that as the real politician.
Because of him I looked into the way of voting for my homeland. I realised that citizens need to be more involved in more initiatives and stop relying on parties to do governance for them - kind of like outsourcing your vote.
I also realised that - we see this with Brexit - that this 'majority' of 50.01% is a killer for society - that is not democracy, that is a split population that will fight against each other.
I've had so many 'bad vibes' from people when they hear me talk like this but I have never really said I would have voted for him.
I tend to tread a neutral way as I am not an american and have no idea who I would vote for.
I also read an article, silly me deleted the reference, where even IT people in the USA that worked for Microsoft say how bad the actual system of voting is, so many 'voting machines' that not even politicians can get information about - I do wish Trump had done something about this area though... but overall it was his 'behaviour' that I turned into wanting the governance of society to be led more by citizen groups that Parties and companies... that I will remember him by...

Unlike the absurd Swiss, Trump never locked anyone's religion.
In the US religions mandating special closing can do so freely: , buddhist monks and nuns, catholic priests, orthodox jews, jain monks and nuns, sikhs (traditional), mormon missionaries, muslim men and women, etc.
You cannot separate the practicing of religion from the clothing it requires. That's like saying you are free to be a Christian, but we'll make all churches illegal.

I had moved to New York in 2015, and knew Donald Trump only from the feature pages or from hearsay. I then followed the Republican primaries with interest; my favourite was John Kasich, but in the end DT won the race. Since Hillary Clinton was not an alternative for me, and I did not know how to assess DT, I gave him a chance at that time. A decision, which I immediately regretted in the first weeks of his presidency, and in the following years I became a bitter critic and opponent of everything that DT represents, does, thinks, says, etc. The 4 years here in the USA were horrible, it was a mental torture, because every day was marked and stressed by all the ugliness and repetitiveness, which DT gave of himself. He and his FoxNews sycophants were some of the most unethical and misanthropic populism and fascism I have ever encountered in the western world. And worst of all, large parts of my environment supported it. US society is more divided than ever; we all hope Kamala and Biden can close the cracks, at least partially. And to put all that DT has broken (and believe me, he has broken so much here...) back together again to some extent. We shall see. As long as we elect characters like Marjorie Green, Ted Cruz and the like to our Congress, people who decry the shooting of children in schools as "fake news" and false flags, it will take a lot of hope and optimism that the country will soon find its way back to peace and old strength after DT.
Ich war 2015 nach New York gezogen, kannte Donald Trump nur vom Feuilleton respektive vom Hörensagen. Ich verfolgte dann gespannt die Primaries der Republikaner; mein Favorit war John Kasich, aber schlussendlich machte DT das Rennen. Da Hillary Clinton für mich keine Alternative darstellte, und ich DT nicht einzuschätzen vermochte, gab ich ihm damals eine Chance. Eine Entscheidung, welche ich in den ersten Wochen seiner Praesidentschaft gleich wieder bereute und mich in den nachfolgenden Jahren zu einem erbitterten Kritiker und Gegner zu allem was DT darstellt, macht, denkt, von sich gibt, etc. Die 4 Jahre hier in den USA waren graesslich, es war eine mentale Tortur, weil jeder Tag geprägt und gestresst war von all der Haesslichkeit und Wiederwaertigkeit, welche DT von sich gab. Er und seine FoxNews Speichellecker waren etwas vom unethischsten und menschen-verachtenden Populismus und Faschismus, dass mir je in der westlichen Welt begegnet war. Und als Schlimmstes zu all dem kam, dass weite Teile meines Umfelds dies auch noch unterstuetz(t)en. Die US-Gesellschaft ist gespalten wie noch nie; wir alle hoffen, das Kamala und Biden die Risse schliessen können, zumindest teilweise. Und all das, was DT kaputt gemacht hat (und glaubt mir, er hat so Vieles kaputt gemacht hier...), wieder einigermassen zusammenzukitten. We shall see. Solange wir Charaktere wie Marjorie Green, Ted Cruz und ähnliche in unseren Kongress wählen, Personen welche das Erschiessen von Kindern in Schulen als "Fake News" und False Flag verleumden, braucht es viel Hoffnung und Optimismus, dass das Land nach DT bald zur Ruhe und alter Stärke zurückfindet.

For most of the people, their life has not been changed what so ever from Trump 4 years administration. But for many Americans it has ! Trump has put in place many new laws for all Americans. I would like to highlight 2 of the most important accomplishments from him and his administration:
1 He fought no war
2 he fought the deep state
Just for the 2 above accomplishment I strongly believe that he is the greatest president since Kennedy.
I would also add that Trump also started to create peace between Israel and the Middle East. Also with the construction of the Border Wall has kept the U.S. safe and reduced smuggling, and stopped the drug cartels , now it is a complete chaos with Biden dismantling it all.

I will remember that he was viciously attacked from his first day in office until his last day in office and that the global mainstream media played a huge part in it. He was the first President in modern times who was truly independent and was not controlled by any global political think tank or lobbying group. He believed in building back America's core values or freedom of expression, liberty and entrepreneurship, he did more for black Americans than any of his forbearers and above all, he believed that the USA had no business starting military campaigns and wars in countries where it had no reason to. Truly a remarkable man.
You are right. Now the monsters are back, wars, lies, propaganda and deception will be there on the first line for many years to come. Reminds me of what happen in the 1930´s.
If I were a corporation, I would miss the approximate 50% tax cut for corporations while the average US citizen working and living abroad that receives government services from their host country received less than a 1% tax cut. American democracy has been poisoned for years by unlimited spending to politicians by special interest groups (Citizens United v. ... FEC (2003) ) and this mentality and actions of those involved are not my America. Trump unabashedly personified that the 1% get what they want 99% of the time. America, love it or leave it (greetings from Kilchberg).

Had with my daughter at the election of Trump a big discussion.I said; something is certain, under Trump there is 4 years no war, because he is a man of industry.( So not as with Obama) with Biden we must again fear that he is active in Ukraine. That would then drag the East with it because Germany would certainly also participate again.

Moving forward, the scary part is not just Joe Biden, it is the Democrat Party. Even though they take an oath to protect and defend the Constitution, they openly call for the first amendment right to Freedom of Speech to be cut off. (unless you agree with them 100%) Openly call for a repeal of the 2nd amendment. And do not believe in controlling the borders. (migrant caravans have already begun, again)

By the Way the US Fake Pres is the only President to have been impeached twice, and has the lowest approval rate upon leaving the US Presidency of any US President. What does that tell you?
It tells me that Trump was treated very unfairly by the Press
