A major industrial trade exhibition opens in Zurich today. Visitors will be able to see the latest developments in industrial tool technology, and get to grips with production measuring technology and quality assurance.

The Industrial Trade Show 2000 runs till Friday at Zurich Exhibition Centre, and consists of two fairs.

The first, “Intoolex”, is geared to specialists and decision-makers in the manufacturing sector and provides an overview of modern tool engineering.

“Microtecnic” specifically addresses professionals and decision-makers from the production and quality assurance world, and provides information about developments, innovations and trends in measurement technology.

An innovation at the fair is a “University Competence Centre”, which promotes the transfer of knowledge and underlines Switzerland’s competence as a high technology country. Partnerships will also be established between industry and the universities.
